We go to university and colleges for learning job related technical skills but what we get for all the investment, is a piece of paper in the form of certificate/degree. Communication gap always play a vital role in the development, implementation , achievement of targets in a timely and effective manner. Every individual should understand the essence of communication at work place. Individuals usually break the channel of communication due to the reason somewhere they are guilty , hide mistakes , lack of understanding , create panic , lack of knowledge , incompetency , unawareness etc. If the results are not as expected , you must check your communication in all aspects. Empathy is an art, It is the ability to think and understand other’s emotions and feelings. Most of us really don’t know that how to be expert in it. A sad reality is that we usually take decisions very quickly with our experiences and based on what we have faced in particular situations. We are not ready to understand the condition of others. We do not put ourselves into the shoe of others and feel the same for better decision and try to find out the gap. Without empathy you cannot understand someone’s act of kindness or cruelty. You cannot understand the reason behind the different faces of people.
It is Empathy that tells you forget yourself and your experiences .It gives you a skill to think about what and why other people think differently in a same situations. It helps you to dig out the root causes of any act. So be in the shoe of others and use Empathy positively.
Don’t Be Biased:
Actually, the word “Biased” shows our personality. If you are biased in your decisions at workplaces you are suffering with the disease name favoritism. You should be very neutral by taking any decision and in dealing with anyone at workplace. If you deal with your colleague and get biased due to that he/she is not from your cast , group , mindset . He/she belongs to an organization that you do not like personally. He/she is close to any person, you are not comfortable with.etc. There will be a lot of conditions that may trigger your behavior to be biased in your decisions.
This is the point where you should build your skill not to be biased in any decisions. This skill will give you opportunities to enjoy respect, trust and rapid growth in your career. Never be biased at workplace and be neutral in your decisions.
Growth Mindset ( Psychology Of Success ):
A very interesting terminology is found in a book named “The Growth Mindset” , a very interested and effective book. In this book there are two state of mindset is described. 01.Growth Mindset 02.Fixed Mindset.
Growth Mindset :
A mindset where you find yourself improving in every positive and negative conditions you face. And you never take a bad result as your failure but you take it as your experience to improve next time. You do not blame your skills and abilities , you only take your failure as a challenge and try to find out the gap of your efforts where you have to work on.
Fixed Mindset :
Fixed mindset works opposite to the growth mindset. Whenever you fail, it realizes you that you are not able to do anything. It does not allow you to think that you can improve by working on your efforts. You can change your failure into success just by giving some extra efforts.
When you go at your work with growth mindset you prosper and grow positively but when you go at workplace with fixed mindset you take all things very close to your personality and consider failure as a big issue. Growth mindset is a skill should be developed to deal with the situation in a better way.
